Aayush Sharma’s journey: leaving Salman Khan productions & embracing thalapathy Vijay fandom

Aayush Sharma is ready to leave Salman Khan’s shadow with the action thriller ‘Ruslaan.’

Actor Aayush Sharma is set to unveil his new action thriller, ‘Ruslaan,’ which marks his first film outside his brother-in-law Salman Khan’s production house.

In a candid interaction, Aayush shared that while he is grateful for superhits like ‘Antim’ and ‘Loveyatri’ under Salman’s banner, it was time to test himself independently.

The sixth year into his career saw the need to build an identity of his own through the cinema he connected with. Aayush shared being addressed as ‘Baba’ on family sets versus just ‘AS’ on ‘Ruslaan’ gave him a sense of responsibility as protagonist.

Laughing off rumors of a rift with Salman Khan, he said they maintain privacy about their bond, but the media demands pretenses in public interactions.

Playing a non-conformist in ‘Ruslaan,’ Aayush praised Salman, Bollywood‘s rebel star, for following his heart fearlessly.

However, his biggest inspiration is Vijay, whose intensely private lifestyle fuels people’s curiosity to know the man beyond screens.

As an industry outsider, Aayush feels both insiders and outsiders view him as an outsider.

‘Ruslaan’ hits theatres on April 26 with the actor eagerly awaiting audience reaction to his first solo hero outing.
