Fans of Akshay Kumar have a lot to get excited about as the actor released the first-look poster for his horror-comedy, Bhooth Bangla. On Tuesday, the poster shows Akshay perched atop a pillar near the gate of a bungalow and is clad in a white shirt, dhoti, and blue vest. A bright red scarf adds a flamboyant touch to his attire as he holds a lantern to add to the intrigue of the film. Helmed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla will hit the silver screen on April 2, 2026, and the shooting commences on December 6.
In a note accompanying the poster, Akshay wrote: “Beyond excited to be on set with my favourite Priyadarshan as we begin the shoot of our horror comedy #BhoothBangla today. Yeh darr aur hasi ka double dose aapke liye ready hoga 2nd April, 2026 ko! Tab tak ke liye aapke best wishes chahiye [This double dose of fear and laughter will be ready for you on April 2, 2026! Until then, your best wishes are needed.”
Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are considered one of the most awaited pairs. Their previous projects include Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Every film I’ve made with him has been a super hit. People say that you are the reason Akshay does comedy, but I don’t believe in all those things. What I did was exploit his sense of humour on-screen. We are working together after 14 years, and I hope things will work. It’s a challenge.
We can’t match the expectations of the audience, but I’m trying my best,” he told reporters at the IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi in September about reuniting with Akshay for Bhooth Bangla. Bhooth Bangla is produced by Akshay Kumar, Shoba Kapoor, and Ektaa Kapoor with Faara Sheikh and Vedant Vikaas Bali on co-production, presented under the banner of Balaji Telefilms Limited and Cape Of God Films.
