Alaya F opens up about the lessons of love learnt from her parents.
Rising star Alaya F, fresh off her acclaimed performance in Srikanth, sat down for a candid chat to reflect on how her family experiences have shaped her outlook on relationships.
The actor’s parents, Pooja Bedi and Farhan Furniturewala parted ways during her childhood but made co-parenting a priority. Alaya recalls always feeling their love despite the divorce.
“My parents made it a point to remain best friends. I still see them getting along so well,” she smiles. This taught Alaya that preserving care for each other is paramount even after tough times.
She remains especially close with her stepmother, who has been like a second parent to her. Her half-brother is more brother than anything else to her.
“It was reassuring to know they both pursued their happiness but never lost sight of what mattered—our well-being as a family,” Alaya gratefully introspects.
This sensitivity shaped her non-judgmental outlook. For Alaya, divorce need not equal the end; how bonds evolve counts.
When a friend went through a similar transition, she offered a shoulder – for she had learnt from her parents that with understanding and empathy, ‘separated’ doesn’t mean ‘separated from love.”
Alaya sees this period as formative, imparting life’s most profound lesson – that relationships transcend legalities; the human spirit binds.
