Alaya F has always posed through the same ordeal that many actors and actresses have to go through in their careers, being body shamed for being overweight in her childhood along with the latest controversy of being skinny now.
Alaya recently discussed the pressure on her appearance that she has always felt throughout her artistic career especially in the competition with actresses in the film world.
”So, ladies and gentlemen, this is a competitive industry indeed.I know that we all have our complexes regarding our appearance and how we want our body to look like, but of course, we are not only about looks,” she said.
During her childhood, Alaya stated, ‘I was a healthy child, but I was a chubby girl, and people bullied me for that.’ Nevertheless, the actress has faced the opposite by implementing a body positivity and healthy eating culture.
“I look this way only now that I’ve let go of all the weight because I give myself the right to exercise and eat healthily. However, that hasn’t ended; now, people stare at my skinny figure and ridicule me by skinny-shaming me. For one, I have been both fat-shamed and skinny-shamed.
In an interview last year for her first film, Jawaani Jaaneman, released in 2020, Alaya also expressed her view about the oppressiveness she felt when it came to the gender divide on the sets. “Still, they have heard the tales regarding the maltreatment of women in the film industry; the truth is there is a vast difference between the good and the bad sets; there is still a long way to go.”
Here, under the spotlight, is Indo-Italian beauty Alaya, born to Pooja Bedi, an actress, and Farhan Ebrahim Furniturewala, a businessman. The young lady does not give up and still has ambitions to create her own movie career.
