Actress Alia Bhatt is set to embark on a new literary adventure as she prepares to launch her first children’s picture book this week. The book, “Ed Finds A Home,” is the inaugural release in a series aimed at inspiring a love for nature in the coming generation.
Alia’s venture into the publishing realm comes under the banner of her kidswear brand, Ed-a-Mamma. In partnership with Puffin, an imprint of Penguin Random House India, this marked the brand’s foray into children’s literature.
Announcing the exciting news on her Instagram, Alia shared a playful reel featuring animated characters of a girl and a dog, along with the caption, “Friends, we have something in store for you.” The book launch is set to take place at the children’s literature festival, StoryVerse, in Mumbai on June 16.
Alia Bhatt, who has had a successful acting career, ventured into entrepreneurship in 2020 with the launch of Ed-a-Mamma. The brand, which offers children’s, teens, and maternity wear, was recently acquired by Reliance Brands, a Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Retail subsidiary, in a reported deal worth ₹300-350 crore worth.
In addition to her entrepreneurial ventures, Alia continues to captivate audiences on the silver screen. She is set to be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Love & War” and an untitled film in the YRF Spy Universe. Alia also co-produces Vasan Bala’s upcoming theatrical escape drama “Jigra” with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
