Alia Bhatt stuns in red saree for durga puja celebration

With Karwa Chauth right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to jack up fashion choices with a bit of Bollywood glamour. Alia Bhatt, looking majestic in her sari at Kajol and Rani Mukerji’s recent family Durga Puja celebration in Mumbai, is a great starting point for festive attire inspiration. Known to ace every style, Bhatt’s look is one not to miss out on this season.

The pretty Sindoori red-colored silk organza saree she wore was accentuated with gold-toned embroidery, wherein the intricate hand adda work, gold sequin embellishments, and Zardozi detailing upon scalloped borders added a touch of sophistication and glamour to her wear.

Complementing the saree was a plunging sweetheart-neckline blouse with matching gold-toned accents on the straps and border, zardozi detailing, a fitted silhouette, and a cropped hem. Alia draped the saree traditionally, allowing the pallu to flow effortlessly down her shoulder while the pleats were set neatly in front.

So as not to distract attention from her attire, the actress wore minimal jewelry—gold jhumkis and a statement-perfect addition—yet she was not overpowering.

Equally fascinating was her makeup: arched and feathered eyebrows, rouged cheeks, glowing base, mascara-laden lashes, and a touch of pink eyeshadow to give that extra oomph. Glossy pink lips and a delicate red bindi finished the look perfectly, while messy hair tied up in a bun added oomph to this perfect look.

Let it be noted here for the interested reader that Alia is wearing the Sindoori Nayantara Ambika Saree Set by Torani, which is available for purchase at ₹1.12 lakh-₹ 68,500 for the saree, ₹ 29,500 for the blouse, and ₹ 11,500 for the underskirt.

On the professional front, Alia Bhatt’s thriller Jigra is currently running in the theatres. She will also be seen in Apna, co-starring Sharvari Wagh. This will be Bollywood’s first female-led franchise in the YRF Spy Universe. The film will be released on December 25, 2025.
