Referring to Censori’s bold outfit at the Grammy Awards, Rose declared, “Kanye is definitely dressing her like that. Yeah, he did this to me and Kim too. That’s just who he is.”
Rose expounded on West’s philosophy, saying, “He wants other men to want his woman. That’s what he’s into. He likes that men are drooling over his woman.” In her opinion, West wants his girlfriends to be the center of attention, such that they look like the most desirable individual in any room.
Speaking on her own past, Rose told of times that made her uncomfortable with her outfit selections while with West. Questioned by Sharpe on her willingness to dress up in skintight outfits, she confirmed, “I was young, and I wanted to please my man.” She divulged that though she loved wearing West’s clothing, finding herself beautiful while wearing them, she would generally go for the laid-back outfit while by herself, wearing baggy jeans and large jackets instead of provocative dresses.
Rose recalled one especially tearful moment with the see-through dress while out with West, remembering, “I cried. I remember crying. I was in like Italy or Paris, and I remember arguing with him about it.” Rose recalled her reluctance to put on the ensemble but West insisting, saying, “You don’t understand, it’s fashion, I’m a genius.” Even after protesting, Rose did wear the dress, which caused serious online backlash.
