Ananya Panday has been receiving unprecedented success after her latest Netflix film, CTRL, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. In it, she plays Nella Awasthi, a modern woman negotiating her way through complex times in the digital world. The actress shared the overwhelming love and praise her performance received with a heartwarming post on her Instagram handle.
I am so grateful for all the love and appreciation coming Nella and CTRL’s way. I am reading everything and smiling ear to ear. @VikramadityaMotwane, you know exactly how I feel. I love you way too much and can never thank you enough. This is a core memory and one of my biggest learnings. She wrote that nothing would have been possible without the amazing cast and crew, who encouraged everybody to watch the movie.
She took it to her Instagram and shared behind-the-scenes pictures from the CTRL sets. Candid close-up shots of her getting into her character, in groups with the cast and crew, and even one where she is wearing a bright, red cartoon showing just how cool it must have been on the sets.
Of course, admiration for Ananya’s performance isn’t limited to fans. Industry friends have also come forward to appreciate the work. Samantha Ruth Prabhu termed CTRL “a must watch,” sharing in her Instagram Stories that she recommended the film. “It’s gripping from the beginning till the end and super well-made. Ananya Panday—you were outstanding,” she said, adding cheekily that it made her uninstall many apps.
CTRL features Ananya alongside Vihaan Samat, Kamakshi Bhat, Ravish Desai, and Devika Vatsa. The film dives deep into the cyber world’s dark alleys and AI’s terrors. It was released on October 4 on the OTT platform. Before CTRL, Ananya was seen in the Prime Video series Call Me Bae, which has been renewed for a second season.
