Ananya Panday debuts on OTT with ‘Call me bae’ trailer; series premieres Sept 6

Ananya Panday’s web series ‘Call Me Bae’ trailer was released.

The trailer of Ananya Panday‘s upcoming web series ‘Call Me Bae’ was launched on Tuesday. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the series will stream on Amazon Prime Video from September 6.

‘Call Me Bae’ marks Ananya’s digital debut. The trailer gives a glimpse of her bubbly character who finds herself struggling after moving to Mumbai from South Delhi. Living in a dilapidated house, she lands a job at a newsroom headed by Vir Das.

Ananya will be seen adapting to the challenges of living independently. The series seems to take inspiration from the American show ‘Two Broke Girls’ with its theme of survival and finding one’s footing in a new city.

Speaking at the trailer launch, Ananya called her character authentic and layered. She thanked the makers for the opportunity to play Bae and called it a compelling and intriguing journey. Ananya expressed excitement to introduce audiences to her character worldwide.

The coming-of-age series also stars Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, and others. Directed by Collin D’Cunha, it will explore themes of friendship, ambition, and daily struggles through a comedic style. Fans are looking forward to seeing Ananya diversify her portfolio through her first web show.
