Though the fame of hosting Bigg Boss was with Salman Khan, in a major upgrade, the third season of Bigg Boss OTT had Anil Kapoor as the host. However, there is a certain segment of the viewers who were also not pleased with Kapoor’s hosting of the show.
There was a Reddit post followed by criticism. One user stated, “I hope this is the last we see Anil Kapoor as a host in Weekend Ka Vaar. Fake laugh, fake anger, total fake personality as a host. ” Other users of the platform also commented, calling Kapoor’s hosting “pathetic and cringy to watch. ”
The viewer opined that “As soon as I heard the nervous, stupid giggle coming out of his mouth, I had to walk out. ” Another simply dubbed the weekend episodes as ‘Weekend ka atyachar . . for bb audience. ’
While some users were pretty harsh with their comments, some positively appreciated Kapoor and his acting skills, which, according to a few users, were seen at their best, by saying, “Anil Kapoor as an actor is a genius. ”
The mixed responses arrived following an Ormax report, which showed that Bigg Boss OTT 3, with Kapoor as the host, got more viewers than the second season, with Salman Khan as the host.
Regarding the positioning of the completion, the question still lingers if the producer will re-employ Kapoor for the next seasons of the Bigg Boss OTT show.
