Actor Anjini Dhawan made her big screen debut with Binny And Family. The actor has received critical acclaim for acting in the film, featuring Pankaj Kapor and Himani Shivpuri.
Even before she debuted in showbiz, Anjini was signed to feature in Salman Khan’s Sikandar. In an exclusive chat with India Today Digital, Anjini reacted to reports of her being in Sikandar, her family’s reaction to Binny and Family, and her desire to work with brother Varun Dhawan.
When asked about the news of her signing Sikandar, the actor said, “Is it? Do I?” before laughing and mentioning she had come all prepped [to dodge such questions].
Asked about her family’s reaction toward her debut performance, Anjini shared that everyone was emotionally disturbed.
Anjini’s cousin and Bollywood superstar Varun Dhawan joined hands with Anjini during the trailer launch of the film.
According to Anjini, it was an “emotional” moment for her. She said, “I needed him that day. I was so scared. That was the day I was most nervous. First time facing the media, I was all over the place that day.”
