Ashley Park has shared that she really had a hard time while shooting the topless scene in Emily in Paris, Season 4, Episode 8. The 33-year-old Hollywood actress recently spoke about the work on the series, stating that it was one of the most stressful jobs.
At a press event in Rome on September 10, Park said that the scene was “every actor’s worst nightmare. ” In this episode, Mindy, played by Park, goes on stage at a popular cabaret to perform and raise money for her band which is participating in the Eurovision contest but little does she know, the venue she is to perform at is famous for nude dancers.
“I still have this recurring feeling of being on stage and not knowing what you are doing or why one is wearing underwear,” Park said in an interview as she explained how she felt surrounded by dancers.
This scene was quite strenuous to Park because he had to make a lot of effort on the set. ”It was so stressful and difficult to do,” she shared with People. ‘I had my support in choreographer, Kyle Hanagami and my team,’ she said. These are the actual words of one of the performers if it had not been for the choreographer… I don’t think I would have made it through it.
In the episode, Mindy is nervous throughout the episode, and even during the rehearsal, she sings very off-key while making herself strip. But she manages to retrieve a purse during the performance part, and she does that by using different purses thrown to her by her best friend, Emily, portrayed by Lily Collins during the Britney Spears’ “Oops!. .. I Did It Again” performance.
After the shoot, Park came out badly but said that the venture was one acting experience she would not forget to have done.
Park also touched on other scenes, including another episode in Season 4 in which her character sings an original song, “Beautiful Ruins,” while in Rome. The song was inspired by a conversation that the artist had with Emily at night in the beautiful Italian city of piazzas.
“The last song in Rome is special because it was original,” Park said, adding that Freddy Wexler did a good job writing an authentic song. She said, “He did such a beautiful job at capturing what felt like the truth in my life into what was happening to the character. ”
