Bebe Rexha claims discrimination by Lufthansa at Munich airport

Lufthansa Airlines at Munich International Airport has been accused of threatening and discriminating Bebe Rexha. The American singer posted an Instagram video in which she claimed: “Lufthansa is threatening me, the supervisor”. In the video, she first spoke with a security agent in Albanian about her ticket.

Citing her experience, Rexha claimed that when she spoke Albanian, she was barred from the flight. It is not a hate crime, she said and noted that “Not one of the women at Lufthansa intervened. ” Bukie Rexha, the woman’s mother, also went to her social media to call for an investigation of the incident.

In response, a Lufthansa representative on record stated that the carrier is in touch with Rexha to assure her and the public that discrimination is a non-tolerance policy at the airline.

Viewers ran to defend Rexha on social media, aghast at the treatment she received. Concerns were also expressed for her well-being and input to the effect that she deserves much better, as pointed out in the following comments.

This happened soon after Rexha released her music video for the single ‘I’m the Drama’, while she was undergoing challenges both in her personal life and in her music career.
