Bhumi Pednekar shares saavan somwar meal & Raksha Bandhan rituals

Bhumi Pednekar, known for her engaging social media presence, recently shared glimpses of her Saavan Somwar celebrations with her followers.

The actress, who frequently updates fans on her culinary experiments and personal moments, posted a picture of her traditional varat ki thali on Instagram Stories. The meal, prepared for the last Monday of the holy month of Saavan, included mashed potatoes, kuttu roti, lemon, and green chutney.

Accompanying the image, Pednekar noted, “Saavan Ka Aakhri Somvaar… Our culture is backed by science… learning slowly and steadily.”

In addition to her Saavan meal, Bhumi Pednekar also marked Raksha Bandhan with her sister, Samiksha Pednekar. Traditionally a festival where sisters tie rakhi on their brother’s wrists, the Pednekar sisters have a unique ritual. Each year, Samiksha ties a rakhi on Bhumi’s wrist.

The actress shared photos of their Raksha Bandhan celebration, featuring the siblings in cozy pajamas, with their pet dog playfully intruding on the frame. The caption read, “Love you, Samiksha Pednekar. To us just being there for each other. Happy Raksha Bandhan.”

On the professional front, Bhumi Pednekar was last seen in the film Bhakshak and made a voice cameo in Khel Khel Mein. Upcoming projects include the Netflix series Daldal and The Royals, featuring a star-studded cast that includes Ishaan Khatter, Nora Fatehi, and Zeenat Aman.
