In a sad moment, the entertainment industry mourned the passing of Leelu Sidhwani, the mother of renowned producer Ritesh Sidhwani. Leelu, who was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai’s Khar area, breathed her last on May 17, 2024.
On Sunday, Bollywood celebrities were spotted visiting Ritesh’s residence in Mumbai to offer their condolences. Among them were Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, their daughter Suhana Khan, and filmmaker Karan Johar.
Ritesh Sidhwani, the co-founder of Excel Entertainment alongside Farhan Akhtar, received an outpouring of support from his colleagues and friends in the industry. Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and filmmakers Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar were also seen arriving at the residence to pay their respects.
Other famous faces who visited Ritesh’s home included actors Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan, as well as director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Shibani Dandekar, Malaika Arora, and veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar.
The cremation took place on May 18 at the Santacruz Hindu Crematorium, and the family released an official statement about it. Shah Rukh Khan, who has collaborated with Ritesh on several projects, including the Don franchise and Raees, was among those who attended the funeral.
