Congress MLA Hints at Bollywood Actor Neha Sharma Contesting Lok Sabha Elections from Bhagalpur

Bollywood actor hints at political debut.

Bollywood actress Neha Sharma may venture into politics, following hints from her father and Congress leader Ajay Sharma.

Addressing media persons in Bihar’s Bhagalpur, Ajay Sharma said if the Congress is allotted the Bhagalpur Lok Sabha constituency in the upcoming elections, he wishes for his daughter to contest from there.

“I am already an MLA from here. So if the party finalises Bhagalpur for us, I will request them to give the ticket to Neha Sharma,” he stated.

Neha Sharma made her acting debut opposite Emraan Hashmi in ‘Crook’ and has since starred in films such as ‘Tanhaji’, ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana 2’ and ‘Mubarakan’. She enjoys a huge social media following of over 21 million on Instagram.

Ajay exuded confidence that the INDIA alliance would trounce the BJP in the Bihar polls. “We will wipe them out. Bihar will ensure Narendra Modi is ousted,” he claimed.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has indicated seat-sharing talks are in the final stages, with an announcement expected next week. Elections for Lok Sabha and assemblies will be held in phases till June.
