In exciting news for football fans, Ajay Devgn’s sports drama Maidaan is finally ready for release. The historical film will hit the big screens next year on Eid.
Devgn made the announcement himself by sharing a poster. It features him holding his emotional football team amid cheering crowds holding Indian flags. The poster also revealed the April 14, 2024 release date.
Termed Devgn’s most ambitious project, Maidaan tells the inspiring true story of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. He transformed Indian football between 1950 and 63 despite numerous challenges.
Directed by Amit Sharma, the film narrates Rahim’s unwavering efforts and the nation’s love for the beautiful game he fuelled. It faced Covid delays but is all geared up for Eid now.
Maidaan boasts a stellar cast, including Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh. Boney Kapoor, Zee Studios, and others produce it.
Fans can look forward to Devgn bringing Rahim’s untold story to life in a power-packed sports drama. The Eid release will see it clash with Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
