Two of Bollywood’s most popular artists, Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh, were first paired in the 2010 release Band Baaja Baaraat. The two showed great on-screen compatibility, which fuelled rumors of off-camera romance as well.
It was much talked about when, in an interview in 2011, Anushka candidly disclosed that she had the hots for Ranveer, though she agreed that the two were not temperamentally compatible. She also said, “It is a little hard for me to be in a relationship with an actor at the moment,” but said they were very different people and even could have presumably killed each other.
However, these sincerities did not hamper the friendship between Anushka and Ranveer traced as we saw in the previous chapters. In a much-publicized 2011 interview, Ranveer had said that he and his partner ‘can finish each other’s sentences now,’ which was almost a confession of love for Anushka; he also said he wants to date Anushka.

Despite the changes in their personal lives, the one aspect of their relationship in the Bollywood industry that remains constant is their friendship and respect.
