Bosco Martis on choreographing Shah Rukh Khan for ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’

Celebrated choreographer Bosco Martis opened up about his experience collaborating with Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan on one of the most talked-about songs of last year, “Jhoome Jo Pathaan,” from the blockbuster film Pathaan.

Bosco, who is part of the renowned choreographer duo Bosco-Caesar and Caesar Gonsalves, praised Khan’s unwavering dedication and commitment to the craft, even in the face of physical challenges. “We have associated with SRK (Shah Rukh Khan) since Swades.

Because of his commitment and the kind of person he is, he will not say no to any steps. He would do the steps; most of the time, because of his knee injury, he was always in pain, but he never let you know,” Bosco revealed.

The acclaimed choreographer recounted the “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” shoot, in which the challenging terrain and footwear did not deter the actor. “During the shoot of Jhoome Jo Pathaan, the streets and the shoes were cobbled.

But he (Shah Rukh Khan) never said anything about how uneasy he was. He would just do all the moves without any complaints; we would not even know that he used to return to his van to fix himself up. He’ll never let you change any steps; he will do everything that you want him to do.”

Bosco’s choreography for “Jhoome Jo Pathaan,” which featured Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, was widely praised by audiences and critics alike. Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan became one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2023, further cementing Bosco’s reputation as one of the industry’s most sought-after choreographers.

The Bosco-Caesar duo has collaborated on numerous hit songs in Hindi cinema, showcasing their versatility and expertise in the field of dance choreography. Their latest work, the song “Tauba Tauba” from the film Bad Newz, starring Vicky Kaushal, has also garnered significant attention from fans and dance enthusiasts.
