Khel Khel Mein received a good response in the initial couple of days but has not experienced a good run commercially. On its third day, the film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, collected Rs. 2 crores, which will take the company’s total to Rupees 9 crores 85 lakh. As per Sacnilk, the company earned Rs 95 crore.
It is a comedy-drama that primarily focuses on a group of friends who sit together for dinner. As a result, secrets are disclosed, and strains in friendships are brought out. It has a star-studded cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal. The film is made under the banners of T-Series Films, Wakaoo Films, and White World Productions.
Before the launch, the actress who played Harpreet Kaur, Taapsee Pannu, spoke much more about the film’s weightage. In an interview seen in Zoom, she said that filming was just as fun as going on a holiday. “It was so much fun; it was like a perfect vacation of a sort,” she said, adding that the film was very funny but also had messages about relationships that the audience could digest and think through after the film.
Khel Khel Mein stars Ishitta Arun, Kiran Kumar, Alka Kaushal and Maahi Raj Jain as well. This is an adaptation of the 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers, directed by Paolo Genovese.
