BTS Jin receives an emotional welcome upon military discharge.
K-pop superstar Jin of BTS was given a warm homecoming by his bandmates as he completed mandatory military service on Wednesday.
Pictures outside the premises showed Jungkook, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, and V eagerly awaiting to greet Jin. Upon seeing him, emotional hugs were exchanged while RM played their hit song ‘Dynamite’ on saxophone.
A video further showed Jimin in uniform pausing to salute. Suga was absent from the reunion scene.
BTS’ official handle later tweeted a group photo with ‘Jin is back’ written on a wall, confirming his discharge. The members sat around a cake and muffins, all flashing the peace sign.
Fans extensively poured their love in comments on social media, glad to see the band reunited after six months. Jin had enrolled at a frontline camp near the North Korea border in December 2021.
After fulfilling his five-week basic training, he was assigned to an army unit. His successful completion of mandatory military service brings an emotional and highly-anticipated closure to his service duties.
Jin’s welcoming celebration underscored the brotherly bond and immense support within the BTS group of the much-missed member.
