Celebs slam rumors of being paid for Kamala Harris events

Celebrities Deny Receiving Payment for Supporting Kamala Harris’s Campaign.

In the midst of the political landscape, a wave of controversy has engulfed several high-profile celebrities, with claims that they were compensated for their appearances at Vice President Kamala Harris‘s campaign events. However, the stars have risen to the occasion, vehemently refuting these allegations.

The rumors first surfaced when it was alleged that Beyoncé, the music icon, had received a staggering $10 million to speak at a rally for Vice President Harris in Houston. Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, quickly took to social media to debunk this claim, describing it as “fake news” and “false information.”

This sentiment was echoed by other celebrities, including Cardi B, who called out the originators of the rumors and stated that she had “not get paid a dollar” and even came “out of pocket for glam and travel” to attend the event.

Similarly, Oprah Winfrey dismissed claims that she had been compensated for her town hall appearance, stating that she “did not take any personal fee” and that the production crew was the only one paid for their work.

The celebrities’ appearances at Kamala Harris’s campaign events were driven by their desire to support the Democratic nominee, rather than any financial incentive.

John Legend, who performed at the Philadelphia event, responded to Tina Knowles’s post, saying, “We all performed/appeared for free because we care about our nation’s future.”

This united front among the celebrities underscores their commitment to the democratic process and their refusal to be associated with baseless rumors aimed at undermining the power of the Vice President.
