Chitrangda Singh opens up on her cameo in ‘Khel Khel Mein’, collaborating with Akshay Kumar.
Actress Chitrangda Singh, who was recently seen in a cameo role in Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Khel Khel Mein’, said she received a great response to her appearance.
In an interview with FirstPost, she said Akshay and director Mudassar Aziz thought of the cameo idea. They discussed developing a reference to her previous film ‘Desi Boyz’ co-starring Akshay.
Chitrangda commented people have always loved her pairing with Akshay, making the cameo an appreciated move. She was glad viewers enjoyed their on-screen chemistry revived after 11 years.
The actress spoke highly of her experience working with Akshay on ‘Desi Boyz’, calling it her biggest film. She appreciated Akshay and director Rohit Dhawan’s decision to cast her opposite a big commercial star.
Chitrangda reminisced about struggling with dancing while shooting for a song at Oxford University but having fun working with Akshay, who brought great energy. She revealed she will soon be collaborating with him again.
On turning producer with ‘Soorma’ in 2018 starring Diljit Dosanjh, the actress said she understood the business aspects of cinema through the process. She was thrilled getting her wishlist casting like Gulzar and Shankar Mahadevan onboard.
The movie was a dream success for Chitrangda after two years of hard work, including pitching it to studios. She considers it a big learning experience for the challenges producers face.
