Kareena, Tabu, Kriti-starrer ‘Crew’ set to soar at the box office.
The female-led heist-comedy ‘Crew’ starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon has gotten off to a roaring start at the global ticket windows. On its opening day, the film minted a staggering Rs 20.07 crore, emerging as the biggest opener ever for a Hindi movie with a leading lady cast.
Producers Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, who reunited after ‘Veere Di Wedding,’ took to social media to laud the feat.
In the entertainer directed by Rajesh Krishnan, the three actresses play flight attendants plotting a heist as their airline faces financial turmoil.
Other than its power-packed female cast, ‘Crew’ also features Diljit Dosanjh and has a cameo by comedian Kapil Sharma.
Given the historic worldwide box office reception on day one, trade experts expect it to continue its dazzling run in the coming days as well.
With women driving both themes and revenues, the success underscores Bollywood’s growing focus on female-centric narratives on the silver screen.
