Devara day 1 Box Office: Jr NTR & Janhvi Kapoor’s blockbuster opens strong with ₹77 Crore

Jr NTR reveals Devara Part 1 included extensive underwater sequences.

Jr NTR starrer action drama Devara: Part 1 had a solid opening at the box office, raking in Rs 77 crore on Day 1 domestically.

During a candid post-release conversation with director Koratala Siva and co-stars, NTR shared interesting details about the film’s production.

The actor stated one pivotal episode involved 30-35 days of underwater shooting spread over months. Initially contemplating a swimming pool, the makers ultimately constructed a massive one on set for this climactic water-based sequence.

NTR said the coastal setting demanded shots both above and below water, which was a challenging yet phenomenal experience.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara Part 1 follows Jr NTR in a dual role opposite Janhvi Kapoor. Saif Ali Khan plays the menacing villain.

Bankrolled by Sudhakar Mikkilineni, Kosaraju Harikrishna, and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, the film has met with theatrical success in Telugu and other dubbed languages.

NTR’s intimate revelation shed light on the technical prowess and resources channeled into mounting the visually grand underwater combat scenes.
