New Delhi:

There was once a time that celebrities such as Yo Yo Honey Singh caught a lot of flak for his experience in the past. Lately, the singer-rapper was trapped in a substance abuse problem, which resulted in a long hiatus from music.

Well, in an interview with Lallantop, Honey Singh has not only spoken on drug addiction but how his vice affected his family. Regarding the people who introduced him to substance abuse, Honey Singh replied, “Some big personalities, some very, very big personalities, influential persons.

And they pragmatized me—hey, Sardar bada tu Punjabi hai, daaru pee leta hai, yeh karke dikha. One of the main said, ‘What is this you say?’ I’ll do it both.’ Nothing happened. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5—the addiction now belongs to her. They said, ‘Sardar, you are a Punjabi and drink alcohol; now do this. I said, ‘What’s the problem? Give,  and I will do it.’ Nothing happened. Gradually I got addicted.

Honey Singh claimed that he had been so addicted to drugs that he could only sleep when he took them and also when he woke up. “Always high, no, pata hi nahi kya kar raha hu, bol raha hu,”  he further gave this indication: “I didn’t know what I was doing or what I was saying.”

About his substance abuse, Honey Singh said that he lost his first wife, Shalini Talwar, due to the same problem as well.

That was not a very good relationship we had with him, if I remember right, during that time of the Marwadesh Loktantrik Party. Dooriyan thhi. It was just traveling to the nearby places, especially during the month of Mei. 2011 Mei Cibil was a fantastic figure of 9-10 months being taken together after marriage.

Since then, success is as cool as a phata. Aye Mehmaan, as we all know, Pakistani women are alive only to give birth, not to survive after that. Mummy, papa, gudiya (Sneha Singh, now Honey’s sister), and Shalini I completely left alone.
