While taking candid pictures of themselves walking in city streets, keeping their backs to the camera, this couple looked every bit of a couple goal as Nupur sported his nickname “Popeye” on his shirt. A storm of heart emojis gave the post a personal touch to their moment together.
To mark their one-year wedding anniversary, Ira and Nupur took to Instagram to share their best and quirkiest. The photo carousel began with a beautiful picture of the couple sitting on a balcony, smiling and sharing love.
The next frame showed the sweet moment when Ira planted a kiss on Nupur’s cheek, who responded with a quirky expression. Other photos captured the playful chemistry between the two: selfies, funny poses, and all the good stuff that spoke to the fun relationship between them. On the professional front, Ira Khan runs a mental health support organisation while Nupur Shikhare is a renowned fitness trainer and trains celebrities like Aamir Khan and Sushmita Sen amongst others. The two started their journey by getting engaged in September 2022 wherein Nupur proposed to Ira during the Ironman Italy competition.
After being engaged for two years, the final wedding of the couple took place on 3rd January 2024 in an intimate ceremony. The two had a registered marriage in Taj Lands End, Bandra, followed by a Christian wedding in Udaipur. The magical wedding had only the closed friends along with family members present at the occasion.
A grand reception was held in Mumbai thereafter, which saw a star guest list comprising noted names from Saira Banu, Dharmendra, Rekha, Jaya Bachchan to Hema Malini, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Sushmita Sen, Katrina Kaif, Esha Deol among others. Aamir Khan was, of course, there with his family to celebrate this special day in Ira’s life as cousin Imran Khan showered all blessings on them.
