Isha Koppikar’s harrowing casting couch experiences revealed

Isha Koppikar, a popular B-Town star who featured in movies such as Fiza, Darna Mana Hai, and Don, has recently shared her improper experiences when she was starting her acting career.

The 46-year-old movie star could not hold back her tears as she opened up about the challenges that plagued her life, including her lapse of character because of asserting her principle. “It wasn’t ever about capability. Heroes and actors used to rule. You know about #MeToo, and if you had principles, things were so hard,” she said.

Koppikar said there were such cases as when a secretary and an actor who wanted to work in the theatre told her when she was 18 spirited her, “To get work, you have to be ‘friendly’ with actors. “We are very friendly, Koppikar said, but what does ‘friendly’ mean?”

The actress also narrated an episode whereby a BIG star from Bollywood called her to meet him in person, claiming to be surrounded by ‘rumors’ whereby he is known to be dating other actresses. Giving details, she said, “Once, when I was 23, one actor pestered me to meet him in person, without my driver or anyone around me; I denied it.

Koppikar also narrated some experiences where secretaries of actors and directors would sexually molest her and make pathetic remarks such as, ‘Just pat the actors; do not forget that you have to be close to the actors to get jobs.’

However, Isha Koppikar has so far maintained being an admired and steady actress with a firm stand on her good values, which she has not even attempted to sway to the other side.
