Janhvi Kapoor Opens Up About Handling Online Trolls.
Actress Janhvi Kapoor has spoken about dealing with online trolls and their effect on her during the promotions for her upcoming film Mr and Mrs Mahi. In a conversation with filmmaker Karan Johar for Dharma Productions, Janhvi was asked if trolls impact her. She responded that it has been a part of her life from a young age.
While acknowledging it is unhealthy, the actress mentioned she does not allow herself to feel bad about it. Janhvi stated that she considers others to have greater problems, making her issues seem trivial.
However, the actress revealed it hurts more when trolls target people close to her. She has learned to swallow such criticism like a bitter pill.
When asked about comments on her body, Janhvi recounted an upsetting childhood experience. As a teen, she found her photos on a porn site where classmates were viewing them.
The actress shared she has navigated sexuality being brought into her public image from a very young age. Her first experience feeling sexualized by the media was at age 12-13.
Janhvi’s latest film, Mr and Mrs Mahi, directed by Sharan Sharma, is set for release on May 31. Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and others back it.
