Janhvi Kapoor speaks Tamil at Chennai event for Devara

For the Chennai moments, she said, “I have spent some of the best times with my mom in Chennai. The love you have given to her, that’s why me, my husband, and my kids are here today… I will always remember this. I hope you will give me the same love.”

Janhvi extended her commitment, saying, “I assure you I will strive hard for it. Devara is close to my heart, and I truly hope you all like what we have made. ”When asked whether she plans to launch a Tamil movie soon, she replied, “I hope so. ”

Her actions were also applauded on social media, especially the flow of Tamil she spoke and the people’s hope to see her in Kollywood in the future. For instance, one fan wrote: “So cute ❤️ I really enjoy seeing her switch to Tamil at least to honor her mom’s land and people,” while the other said: “She has to have a straight Tamil movie ❤️ She speaks Tamil fluently.”

For the sake of background, Sridevi grew up in Chennai and appeared in many Tamil movies before she got to Hindi movies. Now, she also owns a house in Chennai, where a few of her family members still live after moving to Mumbai. Juliana, popularly referred to as Janhvi, Kapoor, along with Boney Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, are often visitors to the city.

On the professional front, Janhvi will star in Devara: Her Telugu cinema acting debut, which forms Part 1. The movie also stars Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan and is set to hit the theatres on September 27.
