Days after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez made her first public appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her film ‘Unstoppable’.
A source told a publication that Lopez was happy to redirect her attention towards work after the attention on her personal life.
The 55-year-old actress-producer, who also stars in ‘Unstoppable’, stunned in a silver gown on the red carpet. In the film, she portrays the mother of wrestler Anthony Robles, who overcame adversity to win a national championship.
Affleck, who co-produced the film along with long-time friend Matt Damon through their production house, was absent from the event.
Sources mentioned Lopez enjoyed catching up with Damon at the premiere. She appears to be in better spirits than weeks ago while making living arrangements.
Affleck on the other hand was spotted spending time with his children on the same day in Los Angeles.
In an interview, Lopez called the role ‘very cathartic’, relating to the complex dynamics women often face in relationships and motherhood.
Her filing for divorce from Affleck after two years of marriage was finalized last month, bringing an end to their rekindled romance.
