Kalki 2898 AD: Anticipation soars ahead of Mammoth box office debut

Kalki 2898 AD, the much-talked sci-fi-film written and directed by Nag Ashwin, will hit theaters on June 27th. They, too, announced that the film will be the first Indian movie to be released in all the 210 IMAX theatres throughout the world, increasing anticipation.

From Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and especially Prabhas in the role of a bounty hunter, the fans are eagerly waiting for it. Market analysts predict Kalki 2898 AD could join the RRR and Baahubali 2 list as the third Indian movie to make ₹200 crore plus in its opening WE overseas.

Such figures look equally encouraging on the regional level: ₹90-100 crore in the Telugu-speaking states, ₹20 crore in Northern India, ₹15+ crore in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Pre-booking has surpassed all previous trends as more than 36 thousand tickets have been pre-booked in the first hour of the movie’s release, and all the shows in Telangana have gone houseful.

Since most of the theaters reportedly have not opened bookings yet, double the collections can open on the first day itself, setting the stage for an astronomical opening.

Distributor Prathyangira Cinemas has also claimed pre-sale tickets of more than 125000 in North America, which includes $2. 7 million. Kalki 2898 AD is on the verge of becoming one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2024.
