Kannada actor Harshika Poonacha and Husband attacked for speaking Kannada in Bengaluru

A group of people brutally harassed a beautiful Kannada actor, Harshika Poonacha, and her husband in a parking lot in Bengaluru. This incident happened and is a truth. The profit motive is the main driver of the attack. Express their deep-rooted culture in their mother tongue, Kannada. The couple then sent a complaint with commuting of the commuting City Police Commissioner of Bengaluru, resulting in the case registration.

The event, which took place on April 2, got plenty of press coverage; Alex Poonacha revealed a video on April 19 when he was going through the assault. The reportage introduced a camera on the aggressive face-off, thus opening the door to the language inequality issues.

According to the couple, the dispute started after one of their unknown people standing at Pulikeshi Nagar restaurant parking spot started arguing with the husband. Soon, the situation took a turn when a posse of approximately 20-30 persons, communicating in a combination of Hindi, Urdu, and Kannada as a paused language, appeared.

As a part of the assault, the assailants supposedly snatched Poonacha’s husband, maltreated him, and even made attempts to scrape the guy’s possessions. They had sought help from a nearby police cruiser and kept exploring the tunnel. But they were dismayed and put off by the police officer who just ordered them a formal prosecution complaint at the nearest police station.

This illustrates the significance of linguistic inclusiveness and gives reason for protecting persons regardless of the language they speak. The process is a wake-up call to all about the issue at hand, which is language discrimination, and also the challenges faced by people.
