Immortal director Karan Johar showed his appreciation to Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan, the duo to whom he has been exceedingly grateful during his 25 years in the amazing world of cinema. He mentioned his humble beginnings, from serving as an assistant and making a quick appearance in the role of ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (1995) alongside Shah Rukh and Kajol, which are all part of the bucket of hit movies he has acted in.
Three years later, Johar tackled his directorial will in “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, in which Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji figured to be the main cast members with a special appearance by Salman Khan.
Johar recalled his glorious career in translational with the greatness of his guru, Aditya Chopra, and Shah Rukh Khan. He stated that they were the very reflection of him on the dates when he was surrounded in his self-doubts, too muddled to perceive his potential.
While addressing the attendees at All India Management Association’s National Leadership Conclave, the director of the movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,’ reminisced about the award-winning year of 2023.
He divulged an interesting tale of his first-timely encounter with the genius Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ when reminiscing about the event and how he passed out one day ahead.
Similarly, he tabled the importance of both up and down times in the balanced scales, preferring personal satisfaction to money, which is the most ontological thing that could transform a human being.
He argued cinema was a mighty means of mass communication capable of forming people’s attitudes, and filmmakers were called to mind their accountability before society in what they say.
