Kiara Advani excited for high-octane sequences in War 2

Kiara Advani is still proving she is the promising star of 2020’s Bollywood with the list of films she is lined up to star in. One of the most keenly anticipated is War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, in which she will be acting alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Passionate emotions are expected and particularly expected after being treated to stories of a ‘commando fight’ that would include Kiara.

War is a 2019 action blockbuster directed by Siddharth Anand and starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. Its sequel is all set to give a high-action experience. As reported by Dainik Bhaskar, both quite natural stars, Kiara and Hrithik have shot scenes that introduce them both.

In the intro at the Shaolin Temple, Hrithik takes on some Japanese villains, and Kiara takes on some villains at the climax shooting in a mall. This car chase sequence was canned in four days at Infiniti Mall in Malad, Mumbai.

Also, behind-the-scenes sources disclosed the moves regarding Jr NTR’s entry, which was planned from a ship location at Yash Raj Studios. However, the preparations for this scene are currently ‘put on ice’ because the actor has recently been injured; the shooting is scheduled to continue in October.

War 2 insiders have revealed to Pinkvilla that Ayan Mukerji and producer Aditya Chopra took care to design the script of the War sequel distinctively within the YRF Spy Universe. Its release here is expected to be darker and more gritty than the previous installments, and it is said to deliver an action spectacle hitherto unseen.

“Ayan Mukerji and Aditya Chopra have been very specific regarding the script of War 2 so that it does not fall under the repetition of what has been presented in the other YRF Spy Universe films. ‘This will be an action spectacle like never before, and as hinted at in the post-credit scene of Kabir, to do with some darkness and grime,’ the source added.

War 2 is the sixth installment in YRF’s Spy Universe after films like Ek Tha Tiger and Tige. It is directed by Ayan Mukerji and is planned to be released on August 14, 2025, the Independence Day of India.
