Kim Kardashian visits menéndez brothers, talks prison reform at donovan facility

Kim Kardashian visits San Quentin to discuss prison reform.

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian recently paid a visit to the Richard J Donovan Correctional Facility in California accompanied by her family.

The purpose was to engage in discussions around ongoing prison reform initiatives with a group of 40 inmates. Two of them were notorious brothers Erik and Lyle Menendez serving life terms.

Greenspace, a project for beautifying prison yards supervised by Lyle, formed a key topic. The visit came after Erik criticized Netflix’s new series on the infamous Menendez murder case of their parents.

He alleged the project inaccurately omitted allegations of abuse by their father and depicted them in the worst possible light.

“I believed we had moved beyond lies but the show created a caricature of Lyle rooted in falsehoods intentionally,” Erik said.

Stating males too experience trauma of sexual abuse, Erik said the show took “truths several steps backward.”

While Kim aimed to shed light on reform, Erik condemned the series for “vile character portrayals” and “disheartening slander.”

Questioning if truth was not enough, he expressed disappointment over recklessly ignoring facts of their lives. The visit focused on discussion over improving prison conditions and aiding the rehabilitation of inmates.
