American TV star Kourtney Kardashian is facing criticism online over the launch of her new weight loss gummy through wellness brand Lemme.
Titled Lemme GLP-1 Daily, the supplement claims to promote fat loss by naturally boosting the production of the hunger-regulating hormone GLP-1.
Social media users voiced health concerns in the brand’s Instagram post announcing the gummy. Some questioned the dosage for significant impact, lack of data on ingredients combined, and unimpressive past studies.
Despite the flak, Kardashian defended the product launch citing years of advisory board research. She highlighted clinically-studied ingredients like Eriomin® Lemon Fruit Extract and Supresa® Saffron Extract in the gummies.
However, netizens continue sharing worries over supplement regulation and potential lawsuits. While the brand touts the backings of gold standard studies, public skepticism remains strong. The Lemme GLP-1 Daily is slated for commercial availability from September 16.
