Kriti Sanon defends Bollywood’s evolving cinematic landscape

Bollywood heroine Kriti Sanon recently got involved in the current debate about the status of Hindi cinema. Kriti properly rebutted entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath’s issues with the industry’s success and its ability to create jobs as it used to.

Kriti’s new movies, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” and “Crew,” are evidence of this market’s relevance. She also spoke about a change in audience expectations, where films grossing ₹100 crores are not a concern.

“Earlier, if a film collected ₹100 crores, it was celebration time. Now, ₹100 crore is nothing. So the expectation has shifted somewhere else only,”

said Kriti.

Similar sentiments were expressed by rapper-singer Badshah, who pointed out that the industry this year proved that it can emerge even stronger from the most difficult phases.

Kriti’s acting career is truly manifested through blockbusters like Dilwale, Raabta, Mimi, and others, which have placed her as one of the highest-paid and sought-after actresses in Bollywood. Her fans anxiously await the moves of her upcoming films, such as the mystery crime-thriller Do Patti.

Kriti’s appeal for Bollywood has come at the right time. Bollywood is slowly and gradually coming back from the pandemic phase, and films such as Pathaan and Gadar 2 are doing great business.
