Kriti Sanon slams intrusive gossip, defends her right to privacy

Having been in the Bollywood industry for a while now, Kriti Sanon has also become a target of various rumors and speculations about her love life. To this, she has nothing to say.

I recently interviewed the actress for Filmfare. When asked about the ‘fake news’ that is spread about her, Sanon said that such information hurts not only her but also her family members. The actress remarked that false negative notions about her are likewise upsetting to herself and her kinsfolk: They shouldn’t have to endure the consequences of something that is untrue.

Building on this, Sanon went on to point out that the particular ways that are most annoying to her include random rumors such as the one about “me supposedly getting married. ” The problem she noted was that after such rumours are started, her friends message her, assuming that they are true, and they turn out to be false.

The actress reiterated that the issue is made worse by the fact that negativity works faster than a positive message, especially given the prevalent use of social media platforms. People do not always take the trouble to check facts once gossip goes around, especially on popular social networks where negativity prevails, Sanon noted. While being flooded with such calls, having to assure people that it is not true is much more of a nuisance than anything else.

Despite this attention, Sanon continues to deliver her best performances at work: her latest film was Crew, with Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kapil Sharma. This year, she also acted in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya opposite Shahid Kapoor, Dharmendra, and Dimple Kapadia.

Sanon, who has worked in a variety of films, including Bhediya, Shehzada, Dilwale, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Mimi, for which she received the National Film Award for Best Actress, has also become a film producer with her first project, Do Patti, with Kajol.

While Sanon still has yet to overcome the difficulties of stardom, her remarks should be a wake-up to people to be much more careful about what they say about celebrities’ private lives. The actress could dedicate herself to acting and, at the same time, ought to keep her personal life a secret from the public eye. Thus, her fans can only pray that the press and the public will exercise some level of responsibility and desist from harassing the actress.
