Malavika Mohanan’s role in ‘Yudhra’ has strong feminine agency, says director.
Mumbai: As Malavika Mohanan‘s upcoming action thriller ‘Yudhra’ gears up for release this Friday, director Ravi Udyawar shed light on her nuanced character.
Starring opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi, the actor essays Nikhat who helps his character combat anger issues in the Excel Entertainment-produced film.
Calling Malavika a dedicated performer, Udyawar said that though written as a ‘soft, beautiful girl’, her character exhibits ‘strong-minded’ traits with a clear view of what she wants.
He stated the role undergoes an ’emotional maturity’ graph, portraying the shift from a young girl to a ‘smart, confident woman’.
After the diverse ‘Thangalaan’, Malavika described ‘Yudhra’ as a whole different world. She expressed gratitude for versatile roles aiding more makers to see her range.
Apart from the leads, the film backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani also stars Raghav Juyal and Gajraj Rao. It arrives in theatres this Friday following a trailer launch.
