Mrunal Thakur dazzles in yellow gown at 2024 IIFA awards

Abu Dhabi is abuzz, playing host to the 2024 IIFA Awards, which began yesterday at Yas Island with the IIFA Utsavam Green Carpet and Awards ceremony to honor the best of South Indian cinema. The event attracted some of the biggest stars from South Indian movie screens, including Mrunal Thakur, who made quite the statement in a bright yellow gown.

Styled by Tanishq Malhotra, Thakur wore a couture gown by Gaurav Gupta. The gown had some real drama in its sleeves and off-shoulder neck, which accentuated her collar bones. While the sleeves continued to take center stage, the fitted bodice was covered in sequins to add that extra oomph. She completed her look with bold earrings and rings, subtle makeup, and soft waves. She shared a photo from the event and captioned it, “IIFA UTSAVAM 2024.”

Fans have been drooling over Thakur’s stunning look at the awards. More recently, she also supported Ranbir Kapoor, defending his film choices when asked about his character in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. Thakur says, “Let’s not forget that Ranbir is also the actor who played Barfi. Why can’t we celebrate the diversity in his films and the fact that he can play both Barfi and Animal so well?

On the work front, Thakur was last seen in The Family Star, opposite Vijay Deverakonda, and made a guest appearance in Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD. Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Karan Johar will host the IIFA Award 2024, and the celebration will continue until September 29.
