K-drama fans are in for a treat as the much-awaited series, My Dearest Nemesis, has released its first look poster. The drama will premiere on February 17, 2025, on tvN, starring Moon Ga-young and Choi Hyun-wook.
The poster, released on January 13, 2025, captures an interesting office dynamic. Moon Ga-young exudes corporate chic in a stylish pink co-ord set, leaning against an office desk. Meanwhile, Choi Hyun-wook is depicted casually reading a manhwa (Korean comic) tucked beneath the desk, surrounded by vibrant manga posters that add a playful touch to the scene.
Along with the picture of Moon Ga-young are the interesting captions: “My first love and most embarrassing past.” In Choi Hyun-wook’s profile, it simply says, “Meeting him again as my boss,” a line that foreshadows the complicated affair that ensues.
My Dearest Nemesis is a quirky love story that is based on a very popular webtoon. The film is directed by Lee Soo-Hyun and stars Moon Ga-young as Baek Su Jung and Choi Hyun-wook as Ban Joo Yeon. These two characters have shared a unique history where, in their school days, they first met each other as game avatars. After sixteen years have passed, the real world brings them together, but this time as a boss and an employee.
Baek Su Jung, team leader at Yongseong Department Store, is gritty and determined to tackle workplace problems face-first. Dubbed the “Executive Killer,” she does not let injustices slide.
On the other hand, Ban Joo Yeon, the perfectionist heir of the Yongseong family business, has a secret alter ego, Black Dragon. He has a passion for otaku culture but wants to be recognized as a serious corporate successor.
The ensemble cast also features Moon Woo-jin, Kim Young-ah, Ban Hyo-jung, Go Chang-suk, Im Se-mi, and Kwak Si-yang in key roles, promising a rich tapestry of characters and storylines as the series unfolds.
