Nia Sharma was confirmed as the first contestant of Bigg Boss 18.
Popular television actor Nia Sharma has been revealed as the first confirmed contestant of the upcoming season of Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss.
The announcement was made by host Rohit Shetty on the grand finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, where Nia was present.
While the actor gave a nervous smile on being congratulated by others on the sets, she has previously rejected the show multiple times citing discomfort around the round-the-clock monitoring.
Having impressed with roles in hit shows, Nia told a portal earlier that she didn’t feel the need to take the ‘shortcut to success’ route provided by Bigg Boss.
However, she did appear as a guest on Bigg Boss OTT last year for a day and termed the experience thoroughly fun.
A source had recently confirmed Nia’s participation to a media house, adding that she and the team were excited after she signed on the dotted lines.
Bigg Boss 18 premiers on October 6 and will see the TV sensation locked inside the house for 12 weeks this time.
It remains to be seen how the versatile actor fares on the controversial show known to break and make public figures.
