Fans want to look like Deepika and Alia, but the transformation is not easy: Nomi Ansari.
Renowned Pakistani designer Nomi Ansari has said many of his clients aspire to transform their looks and resemble Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt. However, in an interview with comedian Tabish Hashmi, Nomi said achieving that desired change is not easy given differences in body structure and lifestyle.
When probed about handling unrealistic expectations, he quipped some could be made to look like Alia’s father, Mahesh Bhatt, instead, alluding to limitations.
Deepika and Alia have made notable international appearances, wowing on red carpets at prestigious events like the Met Gala, Oscars and Cannes Film Festival with their sartorial picks.
Meanwhile, in Pakistan, the actors have amassed a huge fan following who seek styling tips from them. But replicating their charisma involves more than visual makeovers, the designer implied.
Fashion and celebrities have long influenced fans worldwide. Yet turning desires to resemble icons into reality demands factoring in individual traits over superficial mimicry alone.
