From being a contestant on Bigg Boss 9 to becoming one of the most sought-after talents in Bollywood, Nora Fatehi has undoubtedly come a long way. The singer and dancer recently spoke in an interview about her arduous journey in Bollywood.
She claimed that she remembered facing rejections for which she sought therapy as it impacted her mental health when she was trying to figure everything out for herself in Mumbai.
Speaking to Rajeev Masand at IFFM Melbourne, Nora Fatehi remembered her initial days in Bollywood. She shared how she met many people promising to help her but with hidden motives.
She shared how people promised to connect her with big production houses, but often, that would lead to scary situations. To handle such situations, Fatehi informed one and all that though she was open to acting, she was equally prepared to return home and complete her college if things did not work out.
During the same conversation, she remembered the rejections and said, “I did seek therapy because when you get a lot of rejection, which I got plenty, plenty of times ‘you are not good enough’, plenty of times ‘you want to be the next Katrina Kaif?
And I was like, ‘This is terrible”. She also recalled how she trusted the wrong people because she had no help from anyone in the industry. She continued, “Now, I would ask, ‘Why am I coming with you?
What do you want from me? Nobody does anything for free, but at that time, I was like, ‘God sent this person to me,’ and I followed a lot of idiots.” This Iranian babe came to India at the age of 22 to make a career in showbiz. Fatehi made her Bollywood debut with Roar:
