Nushrratt Bharuccha openly shared how she struggled to wear a bikini in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, and how taking a solo overseas trip made her overcome self-consciousness. Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha, herself a down-to-earth favourite for her ability to connect and be honest, recently shared about an extremely intimate experience she went through before showing up on camera in a bikini for Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2.
While such a scene might conjure images of glamour, Nushrratt explained that she first fought with obsessive self-consciousness about going topless — something she chose to confront head-on with daring and liberating action.
Talking to Hauterrfly, Nushrratt said, “For me, it’s always been real-life experience reflecting on-screen. I had never worn a bikini in real life, and I knew I would feel awkward in front of the camera. I said to Luv sir (director Luv Ranjan), ‘Even if I wear it, I’ll be stiff and awkward.”. How am I going to get a natural shot if inside I’m not comfortable with it?
Deciding to liberate herself from her inhibitions, Nushrratt opted for a foreign trip alone — a destination where she could openly face her fears without the eyes of familiar faces. “You can’t quite walk around in a bikini in Mumbai, so I thought I would go abroad. I had to shatter the internal awareness in my head, to make it normal for myself,” she explained.
And made it normal she did. For three consecutive days, from dawn until dusk, Nushrratt intentionally put on bikinis, allowing the experience to become habitual. “By the second day, I had no idea I was wearing a bikini.
It just became normal — like, yeah, I am a woman, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that,” she boasted. Most recently in Chhorii 2, Nushrratt continues to forge a niche for herself as an actress who isn’t hesitant to accept her weaknesses and turn them into strength.
