A very unpleasant incident happened to Pakistani actress Mahira Khan as an object was thrown towards the stage where the actress was seated while attending the Pakistan Literature Festival in Quetta. In response, Mahira went on Instagram to share her opinion and denounce the incident.
She underscored the uncalled-for nature of this behavior, regardless of the object that was thrown. Mahira was not only worried about herself but also about others that might have faced the same situation.
In her Instagram post Mahira Khan noted the love and happiness that had been shared by the crowd of about 10,000 people at the event. She argued against stopping these events just because of isolated incidents, and said that the government should organize more of them across Pakistan. According to Mahira, this kind of experience will make people get to know each other, which in turn will expand the awareness of culture and result to unity and growth.
Additionally, the Humsafar actress also shared a widely circulated video clip where she expressed her disapproval of the incident and said that she wouldn’t speak her dialogue on the set as long as the disruption continued. A number of her fan pages posted the video on the social networking sites.
Acclaimed dramas like Humsafar and Bollywood and Pakistani films are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the talent of Mahira Khan and she definitely living up to her reputation in the world of entertainment. She will soon appear on Netflix’s Pakistani original series, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, starring opposite Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed, which is based on a number one Urdu-language novel.
Nevertheless, Mahira Khan was optimistic, voicing out her gratefulness for the love and support she had in Quetta and her will to strive for a better future for these events
