The movie directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and starring Prabhas was officially announced recently, and there have been many discussions about it, especially about the lady lead opposite Prabhas, Iman Esmail, who is fondly referred to as Imanvi. The film was launched in Hyderabad last week with a pooja ceremony, and many people were taken aback by the choice of a newcomer as the heroine.
Who is Imanvi?
Imanvi, a beautiful girl who loves dancing and is content with being an influencer, has 836k followers on Instagram and 1. 8 million on YouTube. It was in 2020 when her choreography of the song ‘Ramta Jogi’ from Taal receiving massive hits on social media platforms. Another recent dance video doing the rounds on Instagram is the Tum Tum video by Enemy Again which probably led to her acting career. In the last few years, Imanvi has worked with many other popular content creators, increasing her connections list.
Background
Imanvi is equally Indian and American-born; while originally of Indian origin, the youngster was born in Delhi, USA, but raised in California, USA. The dailies have revealed that her family hails from Karachi, Pakistan. Sa-rah is her first acting work in the short film Being Sa-rah, which is based on the life of a Pakistani immigrant and features her as the main character.
Journey into Dance
In an interview in Pop Shift, Imanvi confessed to Eshani Patel that she has no background in dance. But her love for dancing began with the vision she had with legendary actresses like Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, and Vyjayanthimala. Imanvi had the opportunity to learn dance through observation, and she stated that her mother was instrumental in acquainting her with such icons.
The Upcoming Film
Mythri Movie Makers is bankrolling this historical drama, which will be Imanvi’s silver screen debut. The film will also cast two of the senior and popular actors of the current generation, Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada.
