Pradeep Rawat reveals Aamir Khan’s ‘Ghajini’ casting details

In the latest interview, actor Pradeep Rawat, famous as the bad man in the blockbuster movie Ghajini, revealed some original plans at the beginning of the casting of this movie.

Rawat said that when the director of the movie – A. R. Murugadoss – was initially asked to cast Salman Khan for the lead role, he refused. But what worried Rawat was the fact that he had heard Salman saying that he had a short temper, which he believed might have caused trouble to Murugadoss and he would have had difficulties in handling it

Film director Mukud said,

“I will shoot a movie in Hindi. I am going to shoot a movie in Hindi.’ He had a clear-cut vision to approach Salman Khan to participate in the movie.”

Hadi said. Amongst all other directors Salem Murugadoss was the only one to show admiration for Salman, while Rawat thinks that this isn’t the right role for Salman.

By the time he made Sarfarosh, in which he portrayed Aamir Khan, he concluded that the actor is quiet by nature, which makes him the most suitable. “During my shooting, I would tell the director that I thought Aamir would best fit the role because he’s calm-tempered and behaves well with everyone,” Rawat confessed.

However, Murugadooss got Aamir Khan onboard in just six months after watching the Tamil version of the movie, which indicates that he probably had no other option for the role of Riya. The release of the Hindi remake of the movie Ghajini, starring Aamir Khan and Asin, added glamour to Bollywood and earned critical acclaim for its strong storyline and actor’s stellar performance.
