Bollywood hunk John Abraham has released the first look of his much-delayed Marathi film ‘Paani’ along with Bollywood’s diva Priyanka Chopra. The leading actress in the movie, who has been working as a producer, reached Mumbai early Friday morning to release the drama’s much-hyped trailer.
This film, ‘Paani,’ is directed by Adinath Kothare and produced by Priyanka Chopra and her mother Madhu Chopra under the banner Purple Pebble Pictures. It casts Subodh Bhave, Kishor Kadam, Addinath Kothare, and Rucha Vaidya.
The film shows the real life of a man from a village in Nanded that is suffering from drought. He tries to make his village, Adiva, a water-sufficient village. While experiencing a number of problems, such as local thugs, a young woman with whom he falls in love, and many other issues common for a man, the film raises the question of water shortage.
Priyanka, who has a number of more fascinating projects lined up in the future, such as ‘Heads Of State’ and ‘The Bluff,’ recently shared a playful incident on her Instagram Stories, wherein she posted about reaching the iconic Film City of Mumbai. For the music of her video, she decided to incorporate an element of drama and, as such, selected ‘Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava’ from the movie Gadar 2, which was released in 2023.
The film has received recognition from movie critics and other critics as well because it received the National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation and extended its Screenings to the New York Fest held in the United States of America in 2019. The film also got a favourable response at the New York Indian Film Festival, where Kothare was awarded the Best Actor award for his work in the film.
Priyanka has shown great enthusiasm for the film. She posted the teaser on her Instagram Handle, captioning it,” This is very, very special. Our Marathi feature film ‘Paani’ is all set to release theatrically on October 18th. See you in the theatres. ”
The actress has also been occupied with her personal life. She recently attended her brother Siddharth Chopra’s wedding on August 23. Priyanka came to the event in a pink saree, which made her look great at the dinner, which was also graced by Nick Jonas and their daughter Malti Marie.
